This post is directly inspired by a book I just finished, ‘I Know You Got Soul’ by Jeremy Clarkson of ‘Top Gear’ fame. In it, Mr Clarkson discusses twenty-one machines which have ‘soul’ – because they “possess that most human of qualities, a flaw” or “because they were born carrying the genetic fingerprint of a foolish and misguided inventor” and have “formed the backbone of some incredible stories”.

Earlier this year, I bought bespoke shelves for the games room and moved my RPG collection upstairs from the library (thus freeing up room in the library for actual books). Here is what the new games library looks like.

Comedy dramatisation of the Acorn / Sinclair feud, BBC4, tonight 9.00pm. Alexander Armstrong as Clive and Martin Freeman the Acorn guy. Thought it looked like fun and that other people might be interested.

...was in tonight's 'The Bill'. She looks maybe mid-thirties. That can't be right. She certainly doesn't look 48.

I'm thinking it's something to do with the sea devil in Dorian's cave.

Did anyone catch more than the last ten minutes of the Blake's 7 documentary that was on BBC4 late last night? I only stumbled across it while flicking through channels. Seemed really quite good (although Michael Keating seems to have let himself go a bit).

It's annoying that BBC1 and BBC2 don't tend to advertise stuff that's on BBC4 or BBC3. They should follow Sky's example - you tend to know if there's something interesting on one Sky channel because it will be trailered on other channels.
