That reminds me of an anecdote told by a Vulcan pilot, who decided (with his co-pilot) to do a barrel roll without telling the rear crew members. By keeping 1g all the way round, the rear crew didn't know what was happening, and a plaintive voice came from the back asking why the sun was going round in a circle.
