I spent less than five years in the US, which I can hardly remember, and 16 years in Italy, which I can remember, including a couple of uncomfortable rides in my father's Ferrari. It is more likely that Ferrari seats are not designed to accommodate females of the five foot two persuasion, but rather gentleman approaching their mid-life crisis.
I've never drive one myself, but I know that the accepted British view of the Italian supercar driving position is that it actually favours gibbons - the pedals are very close but the wheel is far away, so good for long arms and short legs.
You realise that by the time I can afford one, I'll be approaching mid-life, but hopefully not a mid-life crisis!
Interestingly the most comfortable driving position I've met up with was in an MGB roadster: arse on the floor, legs out almost straight, arms bent at the elbows. The biggest problem was the gearbox was a bit like stirring custard! And if the stick got lifted at all it didn't engage with the rest of the box. Which made pulling away at a cross roads on the top of a hill* very interesting...
* All four roads rose up to it, visibility was tricky.
