It proves that your categorisation system is very odd.

It proves that you have too much time on your hands!

It really didn't take very much time. And at the moment, I have far from too much time on my hands.

I'm sure you have more people on your FList than just Wellinghall (& Bunn obviously with the gardening quota)

Oy, I resent that! When have I ever made a "good job news" posting? ;-)

I like those categories. But does parent stuff mean stuff regarding aging parents, or stuff regarding ones own kids? You need a kids category.

No it was stuff along the lines of "my child is cute" / "my child is not as cute as I want it to be" etc.

Babies, schmabies...

So the best way to get comments is to make a neutral job observation. Okay... *rushes over to own LJ to test theory*

Well...

The average comments figure is a strict arithmetic mean, and in that case is distorted by one very large thread (of yours as it happens). Take out that one, and the average drops significantly.

The best way to get comments seems to be to be ill and / or pathetic.

I like that. Please could you devise a philmophlegm classification system for the comments as well?

That might take a while. I have two jobs. I reckon someone with fewer than that number should volunteer.

Heh. I assume that posts can be in more than one category? (Most of mine are Good job news/Parent stuff.)

Ah, well, when confronted with a post that covered more than one category, what I did was go with the primary category and ignore the secondary.
