Isn't it nice when

... you flick through the channels late on a Sunday evening and stumble across one of the all-time great television comedy moments:

"Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These (pointing to plastic cows on table) are very small; those (pointing out of the window) are far away..."

Magic.

Dermot Morgan. Sadly missed.

Other great situation comedy moments, in no particular order. Feel free to add to the list. I will...

The chandelier in Only Fools and Horses.

The casually leaning on the bar that isn't there bit in Only Fools and Horses.

"Are you absolutely sure sir, that will mean changing the bulb?" from Red Dwarf.

"He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer..."

Mr Chinnery and the tortoise in The League of Gentlemen.

"Don't tell him, Pike" - Dad's Army.

Don't mention the war!

Edmund Blackadder's codpiece.

'Now you see those glasses over there, I want you to fill one for me.'
'What? From here?' - Fletch, in Porridge.

I'll think of more.

OK - you got me. Peep Show?

Never caught much of it. When I have I've loved it. Might even spend some of my soon to be acquired Amazon vouchers on the DVDS.

If it's not Peep Show, then what is it from?

Yes it's Peep Show, can't remember which series, though not the first one. Jeremy takes Mark and another bloke to an Indian restaurant to celebrate getting a job. He's ordered 3 pilau rice and Mark thinks that's too much so reduces the order to 2. Annoyed by this Jeremy orders 4 naan :-)

Have you seen the new PC & MAC adverts Mitchell and Webb are doing? Sadly for MAC they don't work for me as I've always had a soft spot for Mitchell, who as might be expected is the PC.

"The Germans are a cruel race Baldrick- their operas last for hours and they have no word for fluffy"

Priceless.

Oh yes - is that from the one with Adrian Edmondson as their German captor?

Father Ted was a great show.

The recent squabbles about which of the islands it was filmed on should host the latest festival seem like something from one of the episodes :-)

Bunn and I had our honeymoon in that part of the world. The programme seemed quite realistic!
