Remember me posting about our Uzbek graduate recruitment candidate?

He was equally brilliant in second interview.
Unfortunately he was really awful in the team-based assessment. His second interviewer (another Plymouth senior manager) and I both gave him largely 4s and 5s out of 5 for each skill. In the team exercise he scored mostly 1s and 2s. We were so surprised that we checked that the team exercise assessor hadn't just got the scoring the wrong way around, but apparently those were the right scores.
So he hasn't got the job.
