Wouldn't be at all surprised if most of the other two thirds of London's population were also not born there, given that London just sucks in people from all over the country and has been doing so for decades (centuries?). Like my grandmother and various aunts and uncles who were all born in Scotland.

Absolutely. In most parts of the UK, I reckon a sizeable number of people have four grandparents who were all from the same area that they now live in. The percentage of people living in London who have four Londoners as grandparents must be very, very small.
