My lovely Razer Deathadder needs to be replaced (its ability to drag-and-drop has diminished significantly, which is a right pain in Football Manager).

Does anyone have any recommendations? I like my mice big, heavy and wired. Bunn loves her Logitech MX518, but the top surface is too smooth and slick for me. I would prefer something a bit more textured so that it doesn't get covered in a layer of sweat.

It's not a gaming mouse, but this is actually very comfortable in my hand, has a wire coming out of one end, and has yet to go wrong.

And is playing Portal 2 very nicely :->

Logitech G500. Best gaming mouse I have ever used/found. Top is fairly smooth, but the sides are textured, there are about as many customisable buttons as you could want. You can also put weights (included) in the bottom to weight it to your preference: I like mine of a medium weight, but you can put all the heavy weights in if you want it heavier. It's wired (which I personally think is a requirement for a serious gaming mouse. The accuracy and reaction speed is second to none. I really am glad I got it.

I love Logitech and used to have a G500 until it died, they are lovely.

Pp has gone for a Cm Sentinal Advance, which apparently just nudged ahead of the Logitech for some reason.

I don't actually game, but having tried gaming mice I would not go back, the precision is so much nicerer even for non-gaming tasks.
