A really good name for someone who runs a bakery...

...and a name that will be familiar to Oxford Arthurians of a certain vintage.

"Selling like hot cakes

As the founder of Honeybuns Bakery, Emma Goss-Custard is happy about the help for small businesses - and could benefit from changes to capital gains tax.

The 38-year-old entrepreneur started selling cakes and biscuits to local firms in Dorset after finishing a degree in teaching in her 20s. The bakery has grown into a company with 24 staff - including her husband Matt, 42 - and is expected to achieve turnover of around £1.5million this year. Mrs Goss-Custard said she hoped the changes would encourage investment in her firm, based in the village of Holwell, near Sherborne.

"The Entrepreneurs' Relief will definitely be good for when we get a bit bigger. Encouraging business growth is what is going to drive the recovery for the country and it is great that they are tackling capital gains tax. Once we get to a turnover of about £3.5million then we can get more venture capital involved and we hope the business will grow quite quickly from there.""

But if we're talking appropriate names (though they don't go as far as true nominative determinism): when I was young, the doctor was called Cummin, the dentist was Kill and the vet was Cook, and they were all adjacent to reach other. All we needed was a restaurant next door that offered "meat" curry...

I've seen their products advertised in several cookery magazines and they've always looked yummy. I didn't realise there was an Arthurian connection.

I was going to buy some of their cakes for when Bacchus's gluten-intolerant cousin visited, though in the end I was too disorganised to get around to it so had to make my own.
