philmophlegmI've got a lot of time for the Doctor Who and Torchwood production team, but you've gotta feel that setting off a loud explosion today in the centre of a major British city wasn't the brightest thing they've ever done...
I'm not convinced that casting Kylie Minogue as a waitress on the Titanic is either. It smells a bit of the 'special guest star' syndrome that afflicted JN-T Who. Catherine Tate was borderline in last year's Christmas special, but then I think that she's not actually a bad straight actress. We'll see as far as Kylie is concerned. I suppose it'll help the ratings amongst the key demographic of men in their early to mid 30s. (Mind you, I'm in that demographic, and I've always been immune to the charms of the Antipodean pop princess.)
