Photos of my games room / RPG collection

Earlier this year, I bought bespoke shelves for the games room and moved my RPG collection upstairs from the library (thus freeing up room in the library for actual books). Here is what the new games library looks like.

First of all, the heart and soul of my RPG collection - my Traveller collection:

The highlight of my Traveller collection is this copy of 'Imperium', a boardgame that was the first ever use of the official Traveller setting. This is the second copy ever printed, signed by Marc Miller.

Here's the view out of the front window, from the desk, looking out towards Dartmoor.

Note my home-made Orac replica on the desk:

Continuing along that wall to the side window:

(Yes, that is a cuddly Cthulhu in the top-left corner.)

Speaking of Cthulhu, here is my Call of Cthulhu collection, including the valuable 'Beyond the Mountains of Madness' and 'Horror on the Orient Express':

Most of the D&D collection (mostly 3rd edition as I sold off my large 1st edition AD&D collection over a decade ago (mistake!) when I had a much smaller house):

The GURPS corner (plus a few other bits, including the very obscure Blake's 7 RPG):

Over on the other side of the room, an art installation I made from Spectrum game cases, some Traveller posters, a Mountains of Madness poster, my two Traveller noble titles, a map of Traveller Charted Space and our old telly:

The only reason I've friends-locked this post is that none of this stuff is insured. I've started an ongoing project to value the collection, but fear that might take a while.

Excellent stuff - particularly the Traveller, of course.
I'm afraid that 2/3 of mine is in a large storage box due to lack of shelf space.

Envy...envy...envy...

Very lovely. This is inspiring me to dig out some of my old computer game maps and maybe frame them in a corner. In fact the wall next to this PC looks like a fine candicate. :)

Ah, lovely. Is your Horror On The Orient Express still in mint condition?

That was a brilliant campaign. Mountains Of Madness, though sadly my gaming group never quite finished it.

No, the box is quite battered. The interior stuff I would describe as 'good' or 'very good' on a scale where 'very good' sits below 'mint' and 'near mint', but the box is only 'fair'.

I've run both HotOE and BTMoM for my Traveller group (there was time travel, it made sense at the time...)

Did they not do a kickstarter to reissue HotOE?

You're right! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/448333182/horror-on-the-orient-express-a-chaosium-publicatio

If I was rich, I'd probably spend an awful lot on RPG Kickstarters.

(Actually, despite not being rich, I have spent an awful lot on RPG Kickstarters, or more accurately Kickstarter. Singular:

I suppose £60 is a fair price for it these days. I think I spent £20 on it back in day. Which was the most expensive RPG supplement I'd ever bought, but it did come with a whole bunch of stuff.

... y'know, I've never played Traveller. We looked at it once, but I think the lack of published adventures was a draw back?
