When you have an obscure hobby, like say miniatures collecting / painting / gaming, sometimes it's nice to know that it was shared by someone genuinely famous. It's even better when you were a big enough fan of that person to already have a LJ userpic of him!

When I was younger and bringing up a family on a really tight budget, I used to paint toy soldiers for homework. We used to get 2s and 6d per gross we painted.
