And while I'm recommending games for the PC, how about 'The Witcher: Enhanced Edition'?

Based on the fantasy stories by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski; uses the same Aurora engine as Neverwinter Nights 2 (but rather more prettily); interesting plot; satisfying combat; atmospheric setting; moody hero; adult themes (well okay, sex). Good stuff. I finished it last night. Of the games I had for Christmas, it's The Witcher that has been taking up all of my spare gaming time - not Fallout 3, not Far Cry 2 and not Call of Duty 4.

If you do go and get it on my recommendation, make sure you get the enhanced edition, or at least patch the original version to the enhanced version. If you buy the enhanced edition, you also get a few goodies like a 'making of' DVD, a CD of the original orchestral soundtrack (Radio Rivendell's 2007 'Best Fantasy Game Soundtrack' winner) and a CD of music of various styles inspired by Sapkowski's stories.

Honestly, I've really enjoyed this game - it might even make my top 10 all time. Certainly top 20.
