Date: 2012-08-09 03:08 pm (UTC)I'm not sure I have any real opinions about what should be events in the summer olympics - though I'd like to see some transparent system by which sports (in the loosest sense of the word) could be chosen and rotated between and which allowed a reasonable chance for any sport with a dedicated following to get show-cased at least once in a generation.

Date: 2012-08-09 08:45 pm (UTC)I could make a case, if there are going to be horse sports at all, for the other FEI disciplines to be added - horse-ball, vaulting (on real live horses) and (much more spectator friendly than dressage) tent-pegging. Also Polo, which was once an Olympic sport.
