There's also a scene in Yes, Minister that does something similar. I think it involves Jim explaining to Annie who reads which newspaper. I'm doing this from memory, but I think it was something like this:
The Times is read by the people who run the country. The Daily Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country. The Financial Times is read by the people who own the country. The Mirror is read by people who think they should run the country. The Morning Star is read by people who think another country should run the country. The Daily Telegraph is read by people who used to run the country.
