I imagine lots of you have heard of this, but if so, you might never have seen it.
If you haven't heard of it, but you like Star Wars, this might come as something of a shock. You'll probably want to make yourself a nice cup of tea before clicking play.
In between 'A New Hope' and 'The Empire Strikes Back', one of the American television networks did a sort of Star Wars christmas special. It's astonishingly terrible. George Lucas thought it was so bad that he stopped it from ever being shown again and it has never appeared on DVD.
The plot is Chewbacca trying to get home for 'Life Day'. He has a family back on Kashyykk - a wife (in apron and fitted kitchen), a father called 'Itchy' and a son called 'Lumpy'.
Various 1970s American TV personalities appear (at one point Bea Arthur from 'The Golden Girls' sings). It is so painful you need to be sitting down to watch it.
But thanks to the wonders of Youtube, here it is (or at least the first ten minutes, for the remaining 50 minutes, you'll want to click this link
