Jemima Khan's bengal cat is missing.
A number of her neighbours are somewhat upset that this warranted a police investigation when their reports of burglary and vandalism go unheeded, but ho hum.
What has amused me is the reporting that pedigree bengal cats fetch £900 on the black market and even the cheapest kittens go for £500.
No offence Jemima daaarling, but if you paid that for your relatively common (ooh - meow!) spotted brown bengal, you've been had. Our pair of Bengals have the rather rarer and more sought after snow marble colouring (that is blue eyed, cream coloured, with darker marbling and a 'pearl dust' sheen effect) and cost us £300 for the pair. And that was really a charitable donation.
