Mistakes? What? Like getting caught?

Apparently he made the mistake of shooting, electrocuting and slamming dogs into the ground until they were dead.

He's finished. He'll never play pro football again. He's going to jail.

Good.

What is the maximum possible sentence, I wonder?

I've heard 40 years bandied about, but that's unlikely.

A five year sentence isn't out of the question. Three perhaps more likely. However, because he is entering into plea bargaining, he has presumably negotiated a shorter sentence. Still, I doubt it would be less than a year.

He'll also void his contract with the Falcons, which will allow them to recover something like $23million in up front signing bonuses, and he'll lose all his sources of income (salary from the Falcons and endorsement deals). He's going to be bankrupt.

A year in jail is too little. Making him bankrupt is good, though.

Richly, richly deserved.
