I spent a big chunk of yesterday on planes reading the Olympics coverage in the "Welt am Sonntag" and "Frankfurter Allgemeine", and there was much self-flagellation re the (apparently) poor German performance and how they need to reform the elite sport system to be more like the Americans and British. The "kaum vorstellbar" British turn-around from 1996 was mentioned several times, as was David Brailsford. FYI! - Neuromancer
