History research fail

You're a controversial, but talented historian. An adviser to governments even. What you write about matters. Important people listen to you. Your representation is such that your epic analysis of the "Grand Strategy of the Byzantine Empire" is picked up for publication by Harvard University Press. The book is praised by the Times Literary Supplement for its "grand sweep" and its unpicking of "the hard-nosed considerations underpinning the Byzantine complexities of the strategies".

Next time though, when you do your research on wikipedia, you should be more careful to look for the word "disambiguation". You see, while you were right to say that Harald Hardrada did indeed die at Stamford Bridge, Stamford Bridge is not "now in Greater London". That's a different Stamford Bridge - home of Chelsea FC in fact.

There is nothing more depressing than a leading historian displaying their ignorance.

I can't remember who it was a few years ago who ordered a taxi to Stamford Bridge, and was surprised to be dropped off in a village in Yorkshire.
